Established in 1892, the Santa Fe Woman’s Club & Library Association, also known as the Santa Fe Woman's Club, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to civic, educational, and philanthropic support within our community. Our monthly luncheons, paired with engaging and informative programs, create a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with friends and meet new ones.
Since 2014 the SFWC has provided over 3,000 hand-made quilted, knitted or crocheted baby items for newborns along with diapers, clothes, sheets and even toys. The Club enjoys partnering with MEG Senior Center and the New Mexico Quilting Club to create these beautiful gifts for La Familia to distribute via Christus St. Vincent Hospital, so new mothers have something special for their new arrivals.
Established in 2017, the Santa Fe Woman's Club 125th Anniversary Endowed Scholarship was created to support women's scholarships at the Santa Fe Community College. The Club has donated $43,000 to this fund, to date.
Since 1835 the Club has helped to improve our community through service and donations. Over the past five years we have donated to the following Non-Profit Organizations: Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native American Women, Coming Home Connections, Communities in Schools, Empty Stocking Fund, Esperanza Shelter, Interfaith Community Shelter, Kitchen Angels, La Familia, New Mexico School for the Arts/Arts Institute, Reading Quest, St. Vincent Hospital Foundation, and Youth Shelters and Family Services.
This year the club members provided 100 presents for Santa Fe children in need through Santa Fe Public School Adalante Program.
